I had an overwhelming response to share my current evening skincare routine with y’all. As I’ve mentioned before, since turning the big 3-0, taking care of my skin has become a larger priority for me. Since having a routine dedicated to skincare is relatively new to me keeping it simple is KEY!!First can I just say that I LOVE coconut oil!!! I mean what can it not do? I’ve been using it mainly as a hair mask, which is amazing, but decided to start using it as my first step in my nightly routine by helping me melt away my makeup from the day. My absolute favorite coconut oil to use is the Kopari Coconut Melt Mini. It’s a little bit pricier then your usual coconut oil from the grocery store BUT it is seriously so pure and smooth. Plus, I figured since I’m using it on my face it better be the best. All I do is get a little on my finger tips, rub it together to get an oily consistency and then rub it on my face. I also let it sit for about a minute and let it do it’s thing.
After the coconut oil I splash my face with warm/hot water and then use my Tula Purifying Face Cleanser. This brand has quickly become a favorite of mine. This cleanser is so hydrating and doesn’t strip your skin at all. After I rinse my face I simply pat my skin dry.
My third step is using a simple micellar water. The one that I’ve been using lately is the Garnier SKINACTIVE Micellar Water. This stuff is seriously like a magnet for any left over dirt or grim. Plus it just feels refreshing. I also use this when I’m in a hurry and skip my first two steps. This stuff can and will remove even the toughest mascara.
This next product I’ve only been using for about 3 weeks now. Even though it’s new to me I’ve noticed an incredible difference in my overall complexion. The Clarins Double Serum has made the biggest change and has really evened out my skin tone and clearing up any dullness. It also makes my skin dewey soft which is a huge bonus for me. It’s definitely on the pricier side but it’s been 100% worth every penny for me. Plus, a little goes a long way so the bottle is definitely going to last me awhile.
After I’ve applied the serum I wait a moment and then apply my favorite underage cream. Seriously, the Tula Revitalizing Eye Cream feels so good going on.
I was recently introduced to the Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask a couple of months ago and fell in love. It’s $20 but I’ve barely made a dent in mine so it’ll last me through the winter for sure. No more dry or cracked lips and bye bye flaky lips. I didn’t know how much I needed this until I got it. It’s so freaking good.
Usually my nightly routine is done at this point thanks to the serum being so hydrating. But on the rare occurrence I finish by using the Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream.
