Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I can not believe that it’s that time of the year AGAIN!  Sure it’s 100+ degrees outside but I’m suddenly craving a PSL and cozy knits.

If you’re unsure what I’m talking about, I’m referring to the Nordstrom anniversary sale where they put out all brand new, never before seen, items and mark them WAY down.  Items range from clothing to transition into Fall, beauty, hair, accessories and shoes. Daily makeup routine using just drugstore products

Daily makeup routine using just drugstore products

A few months ago I realized that my current concealer was a bit too dark to help cover those pesky dark circles, hello motherhood and lack of sleeping, so as I was in Target I quickly grabbed one to use while I was waiting for my “go to” to ship out.  To my surprise I LOVED the concealer I had brought home and thought it would be fun to do a drugstore makeup review.  Now I did a little research but mainly picked products that stuck out to me, whether it was the packaging or the resemblance to the “higher end” products I already owned and loved.   Continue reading “Daily makeup routine using just drugstore products”

Weekly Wants (Spring transition pieces)

Weekly Wants (Spring transition pieces)

So February comes and all the stores roll out all their cute Spring/warm weather clothing.  I don’t know about ya’ll but for me it makes me itch for all the delicate patterns and flouncy materials.  This Weekly Wants is dedicated to transition some Spring pieces in early while still being weather appropriate.   Continue reading “Weekly Wants (Spring transition pieces)”

Slimming down in the new year

Slimming down in the new year

Cliché I know, but I started 2018 with the intentions of being a healthier version of me.  Not only that, but finding myself again.  I am still nursing my youngest and an issue I’ve had while nursing is not being able to lose the last 8-10lbs of baby weight.  Not sure what it is but my body just holds on tightly to it.  I was sick of feeling tired and out of shape and wanted to make a promise to myself to give me time to focus on ME. January PLAY! vs Birchbox

January PLAY! vs Birchbox

Alright y’all, this is it.  I’ve officially cancelled my monthly subscriptions so these are my last ones for at least a little while.  Why cancel, you might ask?  Well, I am officially a sample size hoarder and even with giving lots away, using, or tossing I still have drawers overflowing.  I’m also at the point that with over a year and a half with each box I’m getting way too many duplicates.  Never say never, but for right now I need a pause from it.  Continue reading “January PLAY! vs Birchbox”

January Men’s Trunk Club Try-On

January Men’s Trunk Club Try-On

Warning, my husband is a kid and will do pretty much anything to make me laugh as you’ll see in the pictures, but that’s what makes me love him.  Alright so my hubby, Jason, has a work trip coming up and needed a couple additions to his wardrobe before flying out to San Fran.  I’ve had such wonderful luck lately with Trunk Club so we decided to request one for him before his trip.  Continue reading “January Men’s Trunk Club Try-On”

My review of Tula Probiotics

So I’m officially in my second month of taking TULA probiotics.  I haven’t seen a crazy difference in my skin complexion YET but I’ve noticed a huge difference in my digestion and energy levels!  I have no doubts that my skin will make a change shortly.  One of my favorite blogs actually just did a review of them and I couldn’t agree more.  Click here to read Katey’s experience.  She was actually smart enough and took notes daily and it’s amazing to see her body’s reaction to missing a dose or two.

The battle of the dry shampoos

The battle of the dry shampoos

I feel as a mom of three I was meant for this post.  I mean who has time to wash their hair everyday anyways?! I’ve tried quite a few different brands but I’ve narrowed it down to these seven.

Typically my hair can make it 2 days after washing before it starts to get a little sketch.  The plan is to try a new dry shampoo on my 3 day hair and see how it feels and how long I can make it last.  I’ll write down my thoughts on each one; the good, bad and the ugly. October PLAY! vs BIRCH boxes

October PLAY! vs BIRCH boxes

As ya’ll know, I love me a subscription box.  My two favorites, and the ones that I’ve had the longest, are the Sephora PLAY! and BIRCHBOX.  Who doesn’t love a good mail day and getting the opportunity to try new beauty products?!  These two subscriptions are always so fun and usually there’s a clear “winner” each month. Trader Joe’s haul 10/16-10/20

Trader Joe’s haul 10/16-10/20

A new week means a new meal plan. We made the trek again this week to our favorite grocery store for a few staples and some missing ingredients.

I swear every time we are in Trader Joe’s we discover something new to us. I especially love how it brings my kids out of their “food rut” and they explore new flavors.  Continue reading “Trader Joe’s haul 10/16-10/20”

September PLAY! By Sephora box

September PLAY! By Sephora box

Alright, finally received my SEPTEMBER PLAY! box after a little mishap with the shipping.

If you’re not familiar with Sephora’s PLAY! box, it’s their monthly subscription that includes 5-6 deluxe samples of various beauty products.  It’s $10 billed monthly and it allows me to try products before purchasing.  I love it! Continue reading “September PLAY! By Sephora box “

Trader Joe’s haul 10/9-10/13

As a family we try to eat a balanced diet.  In order for us to stick with a healthy(ish) lifestyle we meal plan weekly.  It’s always fun to get the girls involved in coming up with a menu and it pretty much guarantees that they’ll eat their food and avoid those “picky” eater moments.  A bonus to the meal planning is that it also saves money, we go to the store with a mission and a list and usually are pretty good to sticking with it.   Continue reading “Trader Joe’s haul 10/9-10/13”

Top 10 baby items you don’t always think of

Now that my third baby is almost 7 months (where has the time gone) I’ve decided to put together a list of my must have baby items.  The first few months can be tough.  You’re getting adjusted and more then likely are lacking majorly on sleep.  I’ve compiled a list of products that really are worth it. Turning something old into something new

Something my husband and I love doing is finding a new project to do for the house. We’ve recently moved and are currently focusing on putting the playroom together. We happen to own a small media cabinet from Crate and Barrel but unfortunately has been destroyed over time and well, kids. Instead of getting rid of it we held on to it during the move in the hopes of giving it a new life. We decided the playroom was the right spot but still wanted it to look good since it’s the first thing you’ll see as you walk up the stairs. Continue reading “Turning something old into something new”
